To learn new techniques in modeling I love to bite off challenging projects. In this case I chose to model an A-Wing so I could eventually 3D print it and dock it with the Tantive IV Model I've been working on for far, far too many years.


I completed this model last year, and really love how it turned out. It taught me so much about modeling, texture mapping, and learning to build hyper-detailed models. It also allowed me to explore rigging - though my attempt at making a passable pilot is a bit weak. That's a whole other rabbit hole to jump down at some point. For now though, enjoy the eye-candy. :)
