The Hobbit is one of my favorite books, and while DA does a great job for general fantasy, I felt like there are entire races which are excluded from their asset catalogs. Hobbits are one of these, so I figured I'd see if I could model some hobbit holes to add to the game. Much of the inspiration from this set was drawn from the Lord of the Rings movies, as well as looking at photos from the actual sets / hobbit holes that were constructed in New Zealand. Ultimately I think it would be fun to come back and fully model Bag-End and create a map for it in DA. I'll likely look at this when we get the feature in DA to be able to orient rooms in any direction. The Bag End map is a bit chaotic - lots of small tunnels and rooms leading into each other at diagonals, etc.

The hobbit town I built from my assets and those in DA.

The fun thing about this collection was modeling not only the main hobbit holes, but also the things you might find in the shire - like barrels of pipeweed, clotheslines, lanterns, flags, birdhouses, fireworks, mailboxes, pancakes and a "second breakfast festival" banner - because what hobbit doesn't like second breakfast?

The Dungeon Alchemist collection I created is now online in the workshop. As always, these are free to use as you see fit, no restrictions. All assets are original, so there are no usage rights restricting you.
